Before you use our dog waste clearance services, please take a moment to read through our Terms of Service. By using our services, you agree to these terms, so it’s important you’re familiar with them.

1. Our Services

Scooper Heroes™ is a locally owned business offering professional pet waste clearance services for residential, commercial, and business properties. By hiring us, you agree to abide by the following terms.

Service Options:

We provide:

  • One-Time Cleanups
  • Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly, and Twice-Weekly Cleanings

Our prices are based on areas of up to 500 square metres (5,382 square feet). Larger areas may incur an additional fee.

We also offer additional services, such as Leaf and Debris Clearance, Snow Clearance, Flea and Tick Lawn Treatments, and Sanitisation & Deodorisation for Hard Surfaces. Prices are available upon request.

2. Super Scooper Starter Offer

We’re offering this welcome bundle to help new customers experience the full benefit of our service from day one—without the usual barriers.

2.1 Eligibility for Super Scooper Starter Offer

The Super Scooper Starter Offer is available to new residential subscribers only and limited to one offer per household.

This offer may be redeemed by completing a quote request via our website, promotional landing pages, or other approved marketing channels (including social media and email campaigns). Eligibility is subject to approval at our discretion.

The offer is currently available to customers located within Hertfordshire. Households situated just outside Hertfordshire may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

2.2 offer inclusions

The Super Scooper Starter Offer includes the following benefits, subject to the terms below. Some items are delivered automatically, while others may require action on the customer’s part (e.g. voucher redemption). All components are non-transferable and hold no cash value.

2.2.1 Free Initial Clean (worth up to £180)
A comprehensive one-off garden clean-up carried out before the subscription begins. Value depends on garden condition, number of dogs, and time since last clean.

2.2.2 Free Sanitise & Deodorise (worth £30)
Applied during the first visit, this treatment helps eliminate bacteria and neutralise odours in outdoor areas.

2.2.3 ‘Gift A Clean’ Voucher (worth up to £180)
A digital voucher issued after your first subscription clean. Can be gifted to a friend, neighbour, or family member in Hertfordshire (subject to route availability). One voucher per subscribing household.

2.2.4 Dog Digestive Health PDF Guide (worth £19.99)
A downloadable guide to help you understand what your dog’s poo is trying to tell you, with health tips, illustrations, and humour throughout.

2.2.5 Branded Subscriber Welcome Pack (worth £50)
Includes a mix of helpful items and Scooper Heroes merch, hand-delivered or posted shortly after your first visit.

2.2.6 150% Satisfaction Guarantee
If you’re not satisfied with your first clean, we’ll refund the full cost—and then some. (See 2.3 below for full details.)

2.2.7 Missed Visit Guarantee
If we ever miss a scheduled visit without notice, we’ll return within 48 hours and add an extra clean for free.

2.2.8 No Contract Promise
You can cancel any time with just one week's notice. There’s no minimum commitment.

2.2.9 Pet Health Partnership
We monitor the appearance of your dog’s waste and flag anything that may need attention.

2.2.10 On Our Way SMS Alerts
Optional text alerts sent before each visit so you know when we’re due to arrive.

2.2.11 Lifetime Rate Lock
As long as your subscription remains active, your quoted price will never increase.

2.3 150% Satisfaction Guarantee

We believe you’ll love being a Scooper Heroes subscriber—but if the service doesn’t meet your expectations, we’ll refund your first month’s payment and donate an additional 50% to a UK dog rescue charity on your behalf.

2.3.1 What It Covers
This guarantee applies to your first month of paid subscription. If you’re genuinely dissatisfied at any point during that first month, we’ll refund 100% of your payment—and donate an additional 50% of that amount to a UK dog rescue charity.

This donation is made by Scooper Heroes and cannot be transferred, refunded, or credited to your account.

2.3.2 How to Claim
To activate the guarantee, you must cancel your subscription and contact us within your first calendar month of paid service.

You’ll need to tell us briefly how we failed to deliver the service as promised—for example, if we missed a scheduled visit or didn’t clear the garden thoroughly.

This helps ensure the guarantee is used fairly and gives us a chance to improve.

2.3.3 Refund Method
Refunds will be issued via your original payment method. The 50% charity donation is processed separately and is not transferable or credited to your account.

2.3.4 Exclusions
This guarantee does not apply if:

  • You cancel for reasons unrelated to service quality, such as moving house, changing your mind, financial reasons, or your schedule no longer suiting the service
  • You claim the guarantee without identifying a specific failure on our part to remove dog waste as agreed
  • We were unable to carry out the service due to conditions that prevent or interfere with a full clean, including but not limited to: locked gates, loose or aggressive dogs, unsafe surfaces, obstructed areas, or overgrown or unkempt gardens
  • You failed to follow reasonable preparation instructions, such as ensuring gates are unlocked and the area is accessible
  • You or anyone in your household has previously received a refund or guarantee-based cancellation from us
  • You attempt to retain or use offer bonuses (e.g. the Gift a Clean voucher) after cancelling and receiving a refund

2.3.5 Effect on Bonuses
If you cancel and receive a refund under this guarantee:

  • Digital items (e.g. Dog Digestive Health guide) remain yours
  • Physical bonuses (e.g. Gift a Clean voucher, welcome pack) may be cancelled or voided if unused
  • The free initial clean remains complimentary and will not be retrospectively charged

2.4 Fair Use

The Super Scooper Starter Offer is designed to give new customers a risk-free way to try our service. To keep it sustainable (and fair to paying subscribers), the following terms apply:

2.4.1 One per Household
The offer is strictly limited to one use per residential address. Multiple sign-ups from the same household, or under different names or email addresses, may result in cancellation without notice.

2.4.2 Non-Transferable Bonuses
All bonuses included in the offer—such as the Gift a Clean voucher, welcome pack, and digital guide—are intended for use by the named subscriber only. They may not be resold, transferred, or distributed.

2.4.3 Voucher Misuse
The Gift a Clean voucher must be used by someone genuinely connected to the original subscriber (e.g. a friend, neighbour, or family member) and within our service area. We reserve the right to decline voucher redemptions that appear to be fraudulent or speculative.

2.4.4 Digital Content
The Dog Digestive Health PDF guide is for personal use only. Reproduction, sharing, or uploading to public platforms without permission is strictly prohibited.

2.4.5 Abuse of Risk-Free Guarantee
The 150% Satisfaction Guarantee is offered in good faith. We reserve the right to refuse the guarantee to individuals who appear to be abusing the system, including but not limited to:

  • Submitting multiple claims under different names
  • Signing up with no intention of continuing service
  • Providing deliberately misleading or false feedback

2.5 Cancellations and Refunds

By subscribing to the Super Scooper Starter Offer, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms relating to cancellation and refunds:

2.5.1 Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time with at least one week's notice. However, once a new billing cycle begins, the monthly payment is non-refundable unless you’re covered under our 150% Satisfaction Guarantee (see Section 3).

2.5.2 No Partial Refunds
We do not issue partial refunds for unused visits, bonus items, or mid-cycle cancellations. Your subscription covers a flat monthly rate that includes all agreed visits during that period.

2.5.3 Bonuses Are Not Refundable
All items included in the offer—whether physical or digital—are provided at our discretion and hold no cash value. They may not be exchanged, refunded, or credited.

2.5.4 Guarantee Overrides
If you cancel and claim the 150% Satisfaction Guarantee, your subscription will be ended immediately and all future services cancelled. Any unused bonuses will be voided, as detailed in Section 3.4.

2.6 Timing and Redemption of Bonuses

The components of the Super Scooper Starter Offer are delivered in stages, based on your subscription status and service schedule. The timing and conditions for each are outlined below:

2.6.1 Initial Clean & Sanitise/Deodorise
These are carried out before your first paid visit, as part of the onboarding process. You’ll be informed of the scheduled date and must ensure the garden is accessible.

2.6.2 Welcome Pack
Your branded welcome pack is typically delivered in person during one of your first subscription visits or posted shortly thereafter.

2.6.3 Gift a Clean Voucher
Your voucher will be provided in physical form, typically handed to you during one of your first subscription visits.

It must be redeemed within three months and is valid for new customers only within our service area. The recipient will need to contact us and quote the code printed on the voucher. Voucher must then be presented to their field technician upon arrival and prior to the clean-up commencing.

Lost or damaged vouchers cannot be replaced, and we reserve the right to verify recipient eligibility before confirming any redemption.

2.6.4 Dog Digestive Health Guide
A download link will be emailed to you shortly after your subscription begins. This is for personal use only and may not be shared or republished.

2.6.5 Lifetime Rate Lock
Your quoted subscription price is fixed for the duration of your active subscription. This rate will remain unchanged unless you pause, cancel, or materially alter your service (e.g. adding more dogs or changing frequency).

2.7 Limitations and Expiry

The Super Scooper Starter Offer is a promotional package subject to change, availability, and service capacity. The following limitations apply:

2.7.1 Offer Availability
This offer is only available while promotional routes remain open. We may pause or withdraw it at any time without notice if routes become full or operational demands change.

2.7.2 Bonus Expiry
All physical and digital bonuses must be redeemed within three months of issue. Unused items may be cancelled or voided after this period.

2.7.3 Service Area Limitations
The offer is intended for households located in Hertfordshire. Households just outside this area may be considered at our discretion but are not guaranteed eligibility.

2.7.4 Discretionary Approval
We reserve the right to decline participation in the offer if we believe a household is ineligible, the request is made in bad faith, or capacity is unavailable in the requested area.

3. Access to Your Garden

To provide our service, we need access to the area to be cleaned.

  • Responsibility for Access:
    You’re responsible for ensuring we can access the garden. Locked, blocked, or frozen gates, as well as undeclared pets loose when we arrive, may prevent us from completing the job.
  • Missed Visits:
    If we cannot access your garden, the service will be skipped, but the charge will still apply. To avoid issues, please consider providing gate keys or lock combinations for us to keep on file.
  • Return Visits:
    If you request a return visit due to access issues, a £10 fee will be added to your bill.

4. Weather Policy

We aim to work in most weather conditions but prioritise safety and garden care.

  • Severe Weather:
    In cases of extreme weather—such as thunderstorms, high winds, heavy snow, or flooding—we may skip your scheduled visit.
  • Rescheduling:
    Missed visits due to weather won’t be refunded, as we’ll still handle the accumulated waste on the next visit. If you need urgent cleaning between visits, let us know—we’ll try to accommodate, but this isn’t guaranteed.
  • Muddy Gardens:
    To avoid damaging your lawn, we may delay service until conditions improve.

5. Billing and Payments

Our service operates on a prepaid monthly basis.

  • Monthly Billing (Subscriptions):
    All subscription payments are processed on the 1st of each month. If your card is declined, services will pause until the issue is resolved. Subscriptions are non-refundable. We do not offer partial refunds for any unused portion of the month once billing has been processed. If you choose to cancel mid-month, service will continue until the end of that billing period, and no further charges will be made.
  • Initial Payment (For New Subscribers): To secure your place on our route, your first month’s payment must be made in advance, prior to your initial clean. This applies even when the first visit is offered free of charge. If you join partway through a month, we’ll calculate a fair, prorated amount for the remaining visits that month, and your first full subscription month will be billed at the same time. This ensures everything is confirmed and your service starts smoothly, without disrupting future billing cycles.
  • First-Time Cleans (For Past-Subscribers):
    If more than 30 days have passed since your last service, a first-time cleanup fee will apply.
  • One-Time Cleanups:
    These are billed after the service is complete, with payment due within 24 hours. Accounts overdue by 30+ days will be turned over to collections.
  • Late Payments:
    A £10 late fee is added to bills unpaid after the 3rd of the month. Accounts overdue by 30+ days will be turned over to collections.

Prepaid Subscriptions Policy:

We offer convenient 3- and 6-month prepaid subscription options to ensure consistent service without interruptions. Our prepaid subs also give you the opportunity to secure up to 15% off your overall scooping bill.

While we proudly maintain a no-contract policy, the following terms apply to our prepaid plans:

  1. Upfront Payment: Payment for 3- or 6-month subscriptions must be made in full at the time of purchase.
  2. No Refunds: All pre-paid subscriptions are non-refundable. Once payment is made, we are unable to issue refunds for any unused portion of the subscription period.
  3. Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your prepaid subscription at any time, but the cancellation will take effect at the end of your current subscription term. Service will continue as scheduled until the last day of the prepaid period.
  4. Automatic Renewals: Prepaid subscriptions are set to renew automatically at the end of the current term for your convenience. If you do not wish to continue, you must opt out of renewal before your next billing cycle begins. You’ll receive a reminder prior to renewal to give you plenty of time to update your preferences.

By choosing one of our prepaid plans, you’re securing hero-level service at a discounted rate with no interruptions. If you have any questions or need assistance managing your subscription, our team is always here to help.

6. Service Pauses & Holiday Absences

We get it—sometimes you're away and don’t need us poking around the garden. If you're going on holiday and won’t need service for a full week or more, just give us at least 7 days' notice and we’ll happily apply a service credit. That way, we can extend your plan to make up for the missed time.

Please note that credits aren’t applied for weeks that include bank holidays where service wouldn’t have taken place anyway. To keep things fair, we’re only able to apply credits when full-service weeks are missed and the required notice has been given.

Cancellations with less than 7 days’ notice may not be eligible for a credit.

7. Garden Conditions

We strive to do our best but rely on your cooperation to maintain your garden.

  • Tall Grass and Debris:
    Dog waste may be harder to spot in overgrown grass or areas covered with leaves. We’ll address anything missed on subsequent visits once the garden is maintained.
  • Reporting Missed Waste:
    If you notice any missed waste, please contact us at woof@scooperheroes.co.uk promptly.

8. Additional Fees

Certain tasks and situations may require additional charges:

  • Deep cleans of decks, patios, or pavements: from £25/visit
  • Cleaning rock/pebble/gravel areas: from £15/visit
  • Waiting time (e.g., for access): £10/visit
  • Return visit requests: £20

9. Waste disposal

Unless otherwise agreed in advance, all pet waste collected during our visit will be securely double-bagged and placed into your domestic wheelie bin.

If you'd prefer for the waste to be removed from your property entirely, we're happy to offer this service—just let us know before your scheduled visit so we can make the necessary arrangements. Additional charges may apply.

We are unable to remove waste from the premises without prior notice.

10. Service Revisions

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will take effect once posted on our website, so we encourage you to check periodically. Your continued use of our services indicates acceptance of these updates.

11. Holiday Schedule

We do not provide services on the following holidays:

  • Good Friday
  • Easter Monday
  • Early May Bank Holiday
  • Spring Bank Holiday
  • Summer Bank Holiday
  • Christmas Eve through to New Year's Day

If your service day falls on one of these holidays, we’ll skip the week and resume on your next scheduled visit. Refunds won’t be provided as we’ll still handle waste from the missed week.

Christmas Closure

We will shut down services between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day. If you clean your garden yourself during this time, please inform us. Monthly billing remains unchanged during this period.
